Why seasonality matters in floristry
Working with the rhythm of the seasons to achieve depth, fragrance and longevity.

Seasonality gives floral design its character. The stem quality is often stronger, the colours feel more naturally resolved, and the arrangement carries a sense of time and place that cannot be replicated by forcing ingredients out of season.
For clients, seasonality is an advantage rather than a compromise. It opens the door to flowers that are at their most expressive, whether that means airy blossom in spring, richer structure in cooler months, or native texture as a focal point.
Designing this way also keeps the process more responsive. Instead of chasing a rigid recipe, the studio can shape each piece around what is freshest and most compelling in that week.
